In November 2006, I spoke at the International Speakers Network Conference on the subject “Getting Buy-in: Winning Over Difficult Audiences.”  Among the speakers and audience members was a Vice-President of Exit Reality, a Canadian-owned Real Estate firm, poised to become the largest such company in the US. After hearing me speak, he recommended to his corporate headquarters that I address executives of Exit Realty at their April 2007 regional meeting. I was subsequently invited to speak, at a handsome fee, at this meeting attended by some 125 executives at the famous Greenbrier Resort in West Virginia. The Exit CEO was in attendance. At the conclusion of my presentation, he spontaneously invited me to speak at the Annual Exit Realty Conference in October 2007 at the Broadmoor Resort in Colorado Springs, Colorado, which will be attended by 2500 Exit executives and brokers. At this Conference, it will be announced that I will participate in on-going presentation skills coaching workshops in Dallas, Texas for Exit Realty Brokers.

All of the above is a direct consequence of my membership in the International Speakers network, which I heartily endorse for all speakers.

I am very satisfied with my ISN membership to date.  Even though I have only been a member since last October, and have not as of yet obtained a speaking gig through them.  Yet, as a speaker, coach, and seminar facilitator, I have closed on some recent coaching prospects as a result of my learning and interaction with ISN.
Benefits to me include:  As a business sole proprietor now going on four years, I have discovered the people of ISN to be of integrity, and following the philosophy of their head, David Wright, who genuinely wants to help us each succeed and to support us without charging an arm and a leg.  Their staff is supportive, and while each person individually may not have answers to your particular question, they know who on the staff does.  Their individual talents as a whole team are incredible.
They offer a two-day workshop four times a year (on Friday and Saturday to minimize lost productivity) in humble surroundings in Tennessee, with what I consider a treasure of benefits.  You meet with people (other ISN members) like you and ahead of you in terms of their progress.  You develop a supportive network, and you learn, learn, learn -- and after attending two workshops to date, I have learned more the second time, even in those cases when hearing some of the same things being presented by David or others as I heard the first time.   From my view, their business is first, about increasing your exposure -- and what you can do to increase your own; and second, developing your confidence as a speaker and communicator, no matter what level you see yourself at (beginner, intermediate, advanced).
They provide you opportunities such as to co-author with well-known people, at reasonable cost, and so far, I am already receiving more credibility and consideration among clients as a result.
I do not take advantage of everything they offer, and I do not think they expect you to - they expect you to take advantage of those things that best serve you.  They understand that, and they do not pressure you -- they just encourage you and give you food for thought.  They are very down-to-earth people.  I have purchased some basic professional services and products …things that have helped me on my marketing side.  And yes, these are done VERY professionally.
Bottom line, based on my experience to date, I would suggest that if you sign up as a member, do so with the intent of attending a couple of their workshops, and expect the benefits to not occur overnight -- don't expect them to sign you a speaking gig overnight -but expect benefit and continuing progress over time.

First of all, I'd like to commend your organization for the good works, and great communication you all provide to your clients! I started working with Insight Publishing last year with the anthology called Success Simplified. Everyone was easy to work with, extremely professional and really cared about my success as a speaker and new author.

From there I went on to work with your creative team on marketing materials to promote the book release, and now a new and improved website.

Every step of the way, each person in the company that I have worked with has been incredibly responsive to my needs and always finds a way to get the job done.

Thanks for all you do!

I nearly forgot to let you all know that I will be a seminar leader at the MI Superconference (for non-profits) later this spring.  I found the link through the LinkedIn ISN group listing under "Jobs".  I wouldn't have known anything about it if ISN hadn't added the posting.  It is just over in Lansing, and they anticipate 500 people there, so it will be some good exposure at a number of different levels.

Just wanted you to know a success story.

“As a 25 year member of NSA, I am qualified to make this comparison. NSA is a nice “Country Club” for us speakers to network and get together while learning. You all are more like a “Target” store…A place I can “learn” and “buy” quality yet affordable speaker’s services (i.e., rebranding, printing, DVD development, and best of all…marketing to new buyers). I feel blessed to have found you.”

I attended this weekend because I have finally found my voice and know I have things to share with others that can better their lives.
This week end has recharged me not only with ISN’s enthusiasm, but with great information that you provided. I have pledged I will return- This is an investment I cannot afford to miss.

I return to the conference because I receive unique and often easy to implement ideas about how to market myself and my products.
I always depart energized and motivated to do the branding work that will take me to the next level in my speaking career.

It was good to see everyone at the ISN workshop this past weekend. This was my third workshop and again I carried away ideas and practical information that I can put to immediate use in my speaking, consulting and writing business. You and the entire ISN staff are a great to work with and go the extra mile. From the one on one conversation to helping a member get a wooden baseball bat for a presentation, y’all do more than expected.

The presentations are helpful, but the one on one time and Q&A sessions are really good for helping members grow their businesses. I realize you can’t do the work for me, but can sure help me do better with the ideas, information and support.

Another great benefit is the fact that we’re building long lasting friendships. With this being my third workshop, it felt sort of like “family.” I appreciate that. I know you haven’t been on the ISN team very long, but it was great to meet you and I’m looking forward to working with you for many years to come.

Have a great week. Feel free to pass my name along as a referral for ISN at anytime.

“Tracy has been a phenomenal resource for me through Isnworks, as well as a motivational force in moving me forward in my business. The incredible value that I have received as a member of ISN within just a short period of time is outstanding. Tracy is dedicated, sincere, and readily available for a consult or to offer a personal opinion on marketing of my services. Having attended an Isnworks Workshop, I walked away with not only benefit from the workshop content, but from the valuable experience of connecting with brilliant people from diverse industries, with diverse strengths. Amazing value, superior support. I am very pleased to be an ISN member, partnering with Tracy Dalton and the ISNWorks team.

"I've been working with ISN on the speaking side of my business. First, as business coach who mentors others on marketing their businesses, I was blown away when I discovered the amazing value that ISNWorks provides for its members to market themselves and get new business. What we receive as ISN members FAR exceeds the minimal investment to become a member.

ISN is consistent, dependable, personable and incredibly creative in the abundance of speaker marketing ideas she generously shares. Each time I get on the phone with ISN, they reveal yet another golden nugget of an idea that's sure to increase speaking opportunities and of course, business overall. I'm excited and thrilled that I signed up with ISN and that I get to work with my agent on my speaking goals.

Thanks Tracy for going above and beyond!"
